Telegraph Hill Rockslide

There was a rockslide this morning near Montgomery and Lombard streets in Telegraph Hill. Thankfully no injuries have been reported. However, a parked car was damaged in the slide. Dawn Walker was in a building that was evacuated due to the slide and said that "I didn't know it was a rock, I thought it was an earthquake." Mohammed Nuru, interim director of the San Francisco Department of Public Works, said at the scene this morning that a geotechnical engineer and a geologist are being brought in to assess the rockslide. "It's one of the largest I've seen," Nuru said. [SF Appeal]
