49ers legend and San Francisco favorite Joe Montana has a 500 acre estate in Napa Valley, Calistoga to be exact. The 3-bed, 3.5-bath mansion is a gigantic 9,700 square feet. Public records show that it made its first appearance on the market in 2009 with an asking price of $49,000,000. You read that right, folks. Forty nine million bucks. Chump change, right? Unfortunately (for Mr. Montana) the property didn't catch a buyer, so it was delisted. And now it's back! But with a more reasonable price tag of $35,000,000, down 31% from its original price. Broker babble states that the home's got "beauty, grace and integrity," and even Montana himself chimed in to say "I can't think of a better expression of art, architecture, and the celebration of California's Wine Country and equestrian lifestyle than Villa Montana." Yes, the manse is named Villa Montana. Property highlights include a skeet shooting range, olive farm, bocce ball court and professional grade equestrian stable.
