In an effort to please the growing bike rider population, the MTA has installed 15 new bike corrals. SFGate tells us that "the corrals are spots where eight to 12 bike racks are installed in the parking lane of streets at locations where demand for bike parking can't be accommodated on the sidewalk." As expected, bike advocates are stoked. "We're thrilled to see so many new corrals installed citywide," said Leah Shahum, executive director of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition.
