Mint Plaza Concrete Condo Has Bells and Whistles, Questionable Asking Price

New, 8 comments

2 Mint Plaza, formerly known as 410 Jessie Street, has a 1-bed, 1-bath, 1,379-square-foot "penthouse residence" up for grabs for a mere $1,100,000. That's right, folks. $1.1M for a one bedroom condo. Sure, we're big fans of the stained and polished concrete flooring, an abundance of natural light and its gorgeous spiral staircase that leads to a private roof deck. Yes, we're fans. But riddle us this: It was listed in April of 2008 for over $1.1M, was reduced to $1,095,000 in December of 2008, and then finally sold in March of 2009 for $925,000. Why would someone pay $1.1M for it now? Monthly HOA dues are $777.26 and help fuel amenities like an on-site concierge, 24-hour security, and a spa and fitness center.
