It's a new year and the Board of Supervisors have their first meeting of 2012 today. On the agenda is Supervisor Weiner's proposed legislation that would limit professional dog walkers to walking up to eight dogs at a time. The proposed legislation would also require professional dog walkers to complete training and pay the city for a permit. "We want professional dog walkers to be legit and have more controls," said Sally Stephens, president of SF Dog, a nonprofit association promoting responsible dog ownership. "Some (dog walkers) can manage larger groups, but others cannot." [SF Examiner/image via Shutterstock]
