Parking Lot Partay

New, 1 comment

Owners of parking lots near nightclubs take notice: the city wants you to start looking out for your patrons. New legislation proposed by Supervisors David Chiu and Scott Wiener would require parking lots within 1,000 feet of a nightclub to enhance lighting in entrances, doorways and stairwells, and pay for staff to be on site until 3am. Proponents hope this will address the issue of delinquents harassing club-goers after closing time. Lot owners have said that it may not be safe for their own personnel to stay on premises that late, which may explain why these measures are being proposed in the first place. Best of luck to the bridge and tunnel crowd in this quest. [SFGate]
