Motorcycle Club Members Busted For Mortgage Fraud

If you've grown bored with this season of Sons of Anarchy, we have a story that might interest you: Two leaders of the Sonoma County chapter of the Hells Angels and six other members have been charged with participating in a $10 million mortgage fraud that allegedly funded the purchase of marijuana grow houses. The indictment alleges that false income documents were submitted on behalf of the Hells Angels members that resulted in them scoring mortgages that helped them buy properties that were then turned into marijuana grow houses. "These falsified documents were then submitted to mortgage lenders to obtain mortgage loans, some in excess of $1 million, on terms that the lenders would otherwise not have funded," said U.S. Attorney spokesman Jack Gillund in a statement.
