"If it is right, that because of everyone's safety we have to go, then I guess we have to go," tech entrepreneur Mathieu Ramage said after Mayor Ed Lee visited the folks at Pier 38. "If he took his time to come here, that means something to us." Mayor Lee stopped by the pier last Friday to convince the group of tech start-ups that the building they're occupying is unsafe because of numerous violations of building, plumbing and fire codes. And he brought along several "big guns" to help convince the group that their safety was in jeopardy. "I'm not sleeping, worrying about you being in there," Port executive director Monique Moyer told the tenants. Godspeed, Pier 38 tenants. [SFGate/Curbed SF/photo via Jeremy Brooks]
