The North Beach branch library saga has more drama than the season finale of 'All My Children,' and the city's Arts Commission is hoping to help it rage on. Adding fuel to an already steady fire, the commission revealed three proposals this week for a piece of public artwork to adorn the new library. Of course, the North Beach Community Artist Selection Panel would like the public to let them know what they think of the sketches, which are on display online and at the 2000 Mason Street site throughout September 15th. There's a proposed sound sculpture by audio artist Bill Fontana; a hanging sculpture by San Francisco artist Paul Hayes, and solar-powered mobiles from sculpture Mark Malmberg. [SF Gate]
