Weekend Open House Report: Fancy Pants Edition

New, 4 comments

Location: 2699 Filbert Street, Cow Hollow
Size: 5-bed, 4.5-bath; 4,923-square feet
Price: $4,995,000
Pitch: "Located on a flat tree lined street in Cow Hollow, the home sits on the corner of Filbert and Broderick. The beautifully landscaped spaces infused with abundant natural light create a natural, timeless flow throughout. With 5BRs and 4.5BAs, FDR, LR, landscaped rear yard, family room, media room, offices, 4 fireplaces and a 2-car side-by-side garage, this property is a true family home."
Our Take: Well, we certainly don't think your home requires four fireplaces to be a "true family home," but we can get past that. 2699 Filbert is an elegant French-style home designed by Albert Farr. We are dazzled by its opulence, and also terrified. It's just so fancy. (Also, we love all the decorative mouldings throughout.)
Open House: Sunday, 2 to 4PM

Location: 1751 Broadway Street, Pacific Heights
Size: 5-bed, 3.5-bath; 4,526-square feet
Price: $3,495,000
Pitch: "This exquisite 5BR/3.5BA home was extensively remodeled in 2004-2006. There is a legal, vacant apartment with separate entrance on the lower level. One car garage with one car parking in driveway. Additional features include audio surround system, high quality finishes and excellent closet and storage space."
Our Take: It has a butler's pantry! Which is really just a place to store your abundance of booze, but still. A butler's pantry! Like the above listing, this home also has more than one fireplace, including one in the master suite.
Open House: Sunday, 2 to 4PM

Location: 2462 Broadway Street, Pacific Heights
Size: 3-bed, 2.5-bath; 2,896-square feet
Price: $3,095,000
Pitch: "Exquisite two-level condo with sweeping north views from living room and master bedroom. Gorgeous and impeccably renovated on a fantastic Pacific Heights block. Generous storage. Ideal location!"
Our Take: We're really working Broadway this week, aren't we? This condo is expensive. Like, $1,069 per square foot expensive. We're digging the copper lover who designed the kitchen, as you don't often see copper used in San Francisco interiors.
Open House: Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 4PM
