Sharing Cars

Eight parking spaces around the City will be used exclusively for City CarShare rental vehicles. The San Francisco Board of SUpervisors voted 11-0 on Tuesday to approve a new program that would allow the car-sharing company to convert neighborhood parking spaces into spaces designated for the car rental service. City CarShare will pay $150 per month to rent each space. Bummed that they took your favorite neighborhood parking spot? Don't be vengeful and park there anyway- those who park illegally in a spot would receive a $100 fine and possibly be towed. [SF Examiner/photo via green4now]
