The second installment of the 2011 Art on Market Street Poster Series will go up this next month. This time the posters will offer up a glimpse of life as a cyclist. "The Golden Spoke" is a series of six posters created by San Francisco-based artist Ian Huebert, reports SF Gate. The posters will hang in bus shelters along Market Street from 8th Street to the Embarcadero from August 8 to October 21. "Ian Huebert's posters capture the essence of what it feels like to experience this beautiful city from atop a bicycle, from the elements like fog and rain to the physical challenges such as the hills and navigation through rush hour traffic," said J..D. Beltan, the commission's interim director of cultural affairs. [SF Gate]
