The deal would ultimately need to be approved by the boards of each agency, but for now the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and the Association of Bay Area Governments are trying to ink a deal to jointly purchase 390 Main Street in South Beach. According to the MTC, the joint purchase would decrease costs for the agencies while improving energy efficiencies. No information has been released about the cost of buying the building, but the plan does call for the headquarters to be 350,000 square feet. [SF Examiner]
