San Francisco and Oakland made it onto the top 10 most walkable U.S. cities list, with San Francisco coming in at #2 and Oakland at #10. The rankings were based on how close any address is to amenities like grocery stores, restaurants, schools and parks. "San Francisco has 31 neighborhoods we refer to as walkers' paradise with scores of 90 or higher," said Josh Herst, Walk Score CEO, citing Chinatown, the FiDi and Nob Hill. So, which city came in first? New York, of course, with a walk score of 85.3. San Francisco has a walk score of 84.9. [SF Gate/photo via Anita Hart]
