MBA, No Sugar

The school needed more space for its San Francisco MBA students, since there has been such a surge in demand from Silicon Valley and West coast executives. Business Insider posts a slide show of the new San Francisco campus of the Wharton School of Business, an institution for minting MBAs more normally associated with Philadelphia. They've taken space in the Embarcadero's iconic 1925 Hills Coffee building- to which the images do justice- joining Google and Gordon Biersch Brewery and perhaps hoping something will rub off. Hills Brothers made a fortune by licensing vacuum-pack technology around 1900, enabling them to bring coffee harvested in South America and Africa to San Francisco by ship and then sell the freshly-roasted beans all over the West. Design by Gensler, with students expected in early 2012. [Business Insider]
