Just Get a Bike Already

It's a familiar scene. You're already late to lunch and now you're worrying because you can't find a parking spot. You've been driving around the same four blocks for 20 minutes. Then you (finally) see it, an open spot! And then the clouds part and the sun shines down on you and you find a twenty dollar bill on the ground and would you look at that, the parking meter is broken. This is the single greatest moment in your life. Well, now you're going to have to have a less leisurely lunch, as the Board of Supervisors gave preliminary approval Tuesday to a new policy that would impose a two-hour time limit on the free parking allowance at busted meters. Final approval of the change is expected next week. [SF Gate]
