Hearts in San Francisco; Enjoy a "Techtini" at San Jose's Tech Museum

SAN FRANCISCO—Starting today, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation is requesting artist submissions for its 2012 Hearts in San Francisco series, part of the seventh annual Heroes & Hearts Luncheon. Selected heart art is auctioned at the luncheon with proceeds supporting life-enhancing programs at San Francisco General and Trauma Center. Artists interested in applying must complete an application and submit with a full-color design rendering on or before August 8. To download an artist info packet, which includes an application, artwork guidelines and official regulations, visit the Hearts and Heroes website. [Curbed Inbox]

SAN JOSE—San Jose's Tech Museum would like you to visit it, so it's taking a page out of the California Academy of Sciences playbook and opening up its doors at night to adults. The Tech Museum will host its first "Tech Museum After Hours" event this Wednesday for adults over 21, NBC Bay Area reports. The series will take place the first Wednesday of every month.
