It seemed like there was something that mayoral candidates could agree upon last night: that the internet will solve all our problems. Proposals ranged from online permitting to more computers in schools to real-time Muni rider feedback (ever heard of Twitter?), all designed to make the candidates seem tech-savvy. Nearly all of the candidates called for city-wide wi-fi, but given that the election is still five months away, we wouldn't cancel Comcast just yet. [City Insider]
