Sunny and Roomy in Lower Pac Heights

New, 1 comment

Rents go up during the warmer months, it's a fact. Which means we're probably not leaving our rent-controlled apartment any time soon. But what about transplants looking for their first San Francisco apartment? Or the socially-awkward souls who just can't do the five-roommate-Mission-flat thing anymore? This post is for them! We've scoured the craigslist, and this is what we've come up with. This week we're bringing you five apartments decent enough live in for under $1,750. We'll be posting one per day. Hooray!

Rental Week wraps up today, but we'll be back next week with a full week of listings in late July. Today we bring you this 1-bedroom apartment in Lower Pacific Heights, near the upper end of our scale at $1,700 per month. The unit has mostly hardwood floors, with some marble and some questionable carpet which we hope can be removed from the kitchen. Who puts carpet in the kitchen? The apartment also has an additional den/office space, which is pretty nice to have in this price range (though it too may be carpeted). Laundry is in the building, as is an elevator, which comes in handy when it's time to move. Nearby Japantown and Fillmore street provide for lots of entertainment options, and bus options are plentiful on Geary, Sutter, Fillmore, and Van Ness. What do you think, dear readers? Is this the apartment you've been searching for?
