Treasure Island Gets Naked

New, 4 comments

In the vein of the old "tree falls in the woods," we bring you this conundrum: if public art is installed in a place very few people go, is it really public art? A Burning Man fan favorite statue called "Bliss Dance" was installed on Treasure Island this weekend, featuring a metal naked lady filled with lights. Trippy. The city of San Francisco is hoping this will attract visitors to the area with the first piece of public art on TI since the Worlds Fair in 1939-40. [NBC Bay Area]
