Weekend Open House Report: Castro Edition

This week's selection of open houses for your weekend browsing pleasure are all in the sunny and beautiful Castro district.

Location: 771 Castro Street at Liberty Street
Size: 3-bed, 1-bath; 1,291-square-feet
Price: $799,000
Pitch: "Second chance! Fabulous top-floor Victorian condo in prime location. Gracious & spacious living room offers views of pretty Castro Street & hills beyond."
Our Take: The backyard's shared, but there's only two units the building. Try to imagine the Sunday backyard BBQ party you could throw at this place. BBQ, hot tub, multiple seating areas and lush foliage. We're seriously digging this backyard. The interior is also delightful: tall ceilings, some Victorian charm; this place is a win. Our only concern is the one bathroom. Three bedrooms but one bathroom? Not even a half bath? But it's not a dealbreaker.
Open House: Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 4pm.

Location: 376 Eureka Street at 21st Street
Size: 3-bed, 2-bath; 1,400-square-feet
Price: $1,335,000
Pitch: "Exquisite remodel of early twentieth century buildings: Main House- 3 bedrooms (inc. Master Suite), 2 baths (Master Bathroom features Carrera marble), Grand Room: Living/Dining Areas and Kitchen with Caesar stone counters and separate Pantry, Fireplace, Landscaped Garden plus Rear Cottage with living/loft/dining areas and bathroom. Close to 24th St. in Noe Valley and the Castro. High-end finishes. Laundry in Main House. Hardwood floors in Main House."
Our Take: Once we got over the adorable white picket fence and beautiful building facade, our attention was drawn to the absolutely perfect garden cottage in the backyard. Can you say "I'm working from home today?"
Open House: Sunday, 2 to 4pm

Location: 3856 21st Street at Castro Street
Size: 4-bed, 4.5-bath; 3,000-square-feet
Price: $2,599,000
Pitch:"Rare opportunity to own on 3800 block of Liberty Hill Historic District. Truly unique home not to be missed."
Our Take: This place has killer views of San Francisco and beyond. The kitchen's sleek, and we wonder if we get that propeller wall art with the sale.
Open House: Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 4pm
