Starting July 1, fines and fees will rise for failing to pay for Muni fare, buying a residential parking permit, getting a car-disabling boot removed from your car or clearing a fix-it ticket. On Tueday, the Municipal Transportation Agency Board of Directors amended the city Transportation Code to increase a wide variety of fees. The new fines would generate an estimated $900,000 a year for the city, Sonali Bose, the agency's chief financial officer. [SF Gate]
