"We're near the end," said Claudia Lehan, one of the four members who run the Red Vic Movie Theater as a co-op. "We sure don't want to close but we're financially strapped. We're hoping for a miracle. But it's not looking good. It's quite a loss for us personally and for San Francisco. It's a great San Francisco institution." Red Vic staff has hosted several fundraisers, but the funds raised won't save the theater. Unless something changes, the Red Vic will close on July 25. [KQED]
