Mayoral candidate Assessor Recorder Phil Ting put up an informal poll on his Reset San Francisco website asking residents how they felt about the proposal to close Golden Gate Park at night. As the Examiner states, the poll is hardly scientific, but it does have more than 1,700 votes and it finds that public support is all over the place on the issue. On the curfew from 1 to 5a.m. in Golden Gate Park, 29 percent strongly support the idea, 26 percent somewhat support the it, 20 percent strongly oppose the curfew and 24 percent somewhat oppose it.
