Our Take: The exposed brick and beams are seriously doing it for us and the location can't be beat. The unit's been outfitted with new halogen lighting and maple floors. The recently remodeled kitchen has granite countertops and shiny stainless steel appliances. Monthly HOA dues are $345 and there's 1-car parking in the garage.

Location: 1701 Jackson Street, #704, Pacific Heights

Price: $499,000

Our Take: It's the most expensive on our list. And the smallest. That said, it's right for someone. The perks of living at 1701 is that the building's packed with amenities. There's a gym, pool and spa, 24-hour security, onsite management and it's also pet friendly. Monthly HOA dues are a staggering $544.74 and there's 1-car parking in the garage.
