Looks like Mountain View is about to get some serious architecture. Google announced that it has hired the German firm Ingenhoven Architects to design a facility to house new staff- which are apparently called "Nooglers"- on a plot the company leased from Mountain View last month. Mountain View gets $30M upfront for the 52-year lease and construction is expected to commence in early 2012. The Nooglers will get a world-class facility from one of the most innovative Green firms- and if it's anything like the European Investment Bank Ingenhoven recently completed (images in the gallery, click above) it should be swell. In the meantime, we're waiting to have a look at the new Pixar facility designed by Applied Architecture in Emeryville, which should be finished in the next five minutes or so.
