PACIFIC HEIGHTS —This week the Drew School celebrated its new LEED-Gold Samuel M. Cuddeback III Assembly Wing, which features a 3.5-story vertical garden and living roof that was designed by famous Parisian botanist Patrick Blanc. It also has new classrooms and a state-of-the-art performance arts and assembly space. Students performed music from Little Shop of Horrors to highlight the vertical garden. [Curbed Inbox]
MARIN —The first ever Marin Modern Home Tour is this weekend. It's hosted by Dwell magazine and Marin magazine. Tickets are $75 for one day or $150 for a weekend pass, which includes an opportunity to tour both days and meet the architects of the homes on Friday. A portion of the ticket sales benefit Architecture for Humanity. You can buy tickets here. Marin Modern Real Estate is a sponsor for the event, and it's offered up promotional code "marinmodern," which gives you 10% off the ticket price. [Curbed Inbox]
