After the massive public relations snafu where BART seats were revealed to have all sorts of unsavory things growing on them, officials are asking for rider opinions on new seats. These new seats will go into new trains starting in 2013, altogether costing taxpayers $3,400,000,000. Things to consider include seat material, width, design, and layout. Participants can sign up to be a part of the "seat lab" on BART's website and help be a part of the "fleet of the future." Our personal requests: cup holders for adult beverages, a running "disease tally" on top of each seat, and the ability to Febreeze on demand for our less Downy-fresh passengers.[SF Ex]
