Looks like the Supes will have to weigh in on the proposed plan to reduce off-leash dog areas in Golden Gate National Recreation Area. A committee hearing yesterday on the issue drew more than 100 people ready to speak out on the impact the dogs have on wildlife and the impact the ban would have on dogs and city parks. Most concerning to the Supes: dogs will need to go somewhere to get their play on, and that could mean crazy overcrowding and overuse to city parks. The full board will vote on a resolution tonight which will put them on the record for or against the off-leash restrictions. [SF Appeal]
