CASTRO—After months of problems and speculation, Trader Joe's has made it official: it's abandoning its quest to open a store at Noe and Market streets in the old Tower Records space. Supervisor Scott Wiener brings us the news via Facebook. "I will immediately begin working with the property owner to bring in one or more retails that will add to the neighborhood.
