Bay Bridge Progress

New, 1 comment

The SF Appeal reports that crews have completed lifting the fourth segment of the Bay Bridge tower ahead of schedule. The tower now stands at 480 feet, just 45 feet away from reaching its final height. Bart Ney, spokesman for Caltrans, cited weather conditions and a "great effort on the part of our crews" as the reasons behind getting the work done early. "We hope to keep this momentum going until the entire project is completed in 2013." [SF Appeal]
