Clarendon Heights: 1942 Clarence Mayhew Pulls in 70K Extra

New, 1 comment

Listed on January 12, 2011, that lovely, early mid-century modernist house by eminent San Francisco architect Clarence Mayhew in Clarendon Heights closed escrow this past Monday for $2,660,000, or $70,000 over the asking price. Built in the early days of WWII and apparently in good original condition, the 4-bed, 3.5-bath house with a reverse floor plan went "pending" after only seventeen days on the market. Kudos to the agent, Else Townsend, at Zephyr for pricing it so well in a neighborhood chock-full of over-renovated and over-priced properties that are languishing on the market. We're sure the staggering views helped. Congrats to the new owners- may you be very happy there.
