Manhattan-on-the-Pacific?

New, 20 comments

It could become another Manhattan if you just have one large apartment building after another - and that's not what people love about San Francisco. says Hiroshi Fukuda from the Coalition for San Francisco Neighborhoods. True- they want their Manhattan entirely under forty feet high, the current residential height limit for most of San Francisco, and preferably in pastel-painted redwood and stucco. And affordable. All this as the Planning Commission is on the brink of adopting a state-mandated housing master plan with more density, new height limits, and calling for more community involvement. So don't expect to be moving in any time soon. [SFGate/image via Curbed NY]
