Redevelopment Saved! For Now

?the first budget in decades to be approved by a simple majority As the Democrats do it on their own! Must be nice having a majority every once in a while. Despite deep cuts and pissed-off Republicans, the deficit for this year has been cut to a mere $14,000,000,000, but leaving two big questions- a statewide vote on new taxes and the future of California's many dozens of redevelopment agencies. Republicans also claim the new budget will allow thousands of criminals to roam the streets, so we propose a new California Prison Redevelopment Agency. Which should make everyone happy, right?
