San Francisco needs to have more taxi service available on Friday and Saturday nights. And Supervisor Scott Wiener agrees! Today the supervisor will introduce a resolution at the Board of Supes meeting in support of a proposal, which is pitched by the SFMTA, to increase the number on taxis by issuing more permits that could only be used during those peak hours. "Along with Muni reform, increasing the number of taxis on our streets will allow people to live in San Francisco without needing a car,' Wiener said in a statement. [SF Examiner]
