Celebration

As you might recall, last July someone went into Golden Gate Park and cut down over 45 trees, 15 of which were young elms that were valued at $500 each. Chase Freedom stepped in and donated $30,000 worth of elm trees to make up for the slain ones. We're very happy to report that today at 11:30a.m., Supervisor Mar and other city officials will accompany representatives from Chase Freedom to a replanting of the elms. [SF Examiner, previously]
