Parking Perks

We're a little late on this one, but on Tuesday the SFMTA Board of Directors made some parking-related decisions. First up, approval for a $55 penalty for MTA employees who park at the MTA facilities without first obtaining an $80 monthly parking permit. It'll start on March 1st, and is expected to bring in $1.3 million annually. Then the board of directors voted 4-3 to research creating a program to give nannies special parking perks, aka residential parking passes for the neighborhoods they work in. And finally? there's now a two-hour maximum time limit for parking at a broken meter. [SF Gate]
