Those of you losing your lunch over Steve Job's demo in Woodside might get a warm and fuzzy over this news. The new Apple store being constructed in Berkeley hit a serious red tag snag yesterday morning when several free-standing walls from the previous structure sank into the ground and hit the adjacent building. That's right, Apple is being swallowed whole into the earth. Unfortunately for residents next door, local businesses Builders Bookstore and Another Planet Entertainment, that meant getting red-tagged by the fire department. No word yet on how long it will take to get this mess cleaned up, or whether Apple will offer a free iPod to cover up this latest mishap. [Berkeleyside]
