The U.S. Soccer Foundation has offered up a donation of $25,000 towards a light system for Mission Playground. The hardtop is being replaced with synthetic turf in the early fall, and the lights would be installed at the same time. The donation was unanimously approved by the Recreation and Park Commission and is now off to the Board of Supervisors for approval. [SF Examiner]
