A recent survey of 1,443 San Francisco residents shows that park bathroom maintenance is a big concern for residents. "Cleanliness and access to bathrooms is definitely one of the bigger ones," Neighborhood Parks Council Executive Director Meredith Thomas said. The survey shows that more than 40 percent of folks are deeply concerned about the cleanliness of park bathrooms. However, the Recreation and Park Department is currently spending $11.4M in park bond money to deal with its potty concerns. It also understands that there needs to be a better way for park goers to communicate with the Recreation and Parks Department. Only 207 of the people surveyed said they have direct communication with the Rec and Park Commission. [SF Examiner]
