Originally asking $3,300,000, Firehouse 33 at 117 Broad in Oceanview has finally sold. But before we get to that, a little back story. The 113 year old firehouse was most recently the headquarters for the San Francisco Fire Engine Tours & Adventures, and the interiors served as a space to showcase a unique collection of fire service-related memorabilia. The owners originally didn't want to sell to a party that wasn't interested in keeping the business alive, so it sat on the market without an offer for years. They wanted the new owners to maintain the memorabilia and continue operating the Fire Engine Tours & Adventures business. After three years and five agents, the firehouse has finally sold for $875,000. Not included in the sale was the business and the furnishings, as the new owners have careers they enjoy and furniture they love. One of the new owners is an architect who "deeply understands" the importance of keeping most of the original charm intact, and has promised to not change a significant amount of the interiors.
