According to a new U.S. News and World Report Ranking San Francisco is #6 on the top-ten list for best U.S. cities for Public Transit. As the Chronicle's City Insider points out, that puts us above our permanent rivals in LA, but just below the Minneapolis-St. Paul Twin Cities tag team. Portland, who charmingly never seems to have quite the same ego about these things, landed the top spot for transit. [SFGate]
