SF Board of Supes have set the stage for possible closure of the Sharp Park Golf Course. Seems the “poor man’s Pebble Beach” shares its green with federally protected species—not to mention being an expensive piece of maintenance. But Supervisor Avalos told the Examiner that “It is not just to save money for The City. It is about having the best method to protect the species.” Meanwhile, San Mateo County, Pacifica in particular, vehemently oppose the closure. [SF Examiner]
