Parking Advice from an Expert

New, 2 comments

An SF parking enforcement officer for over 2 decades, Lance Greenfield gave SFGate some timely advice for holiday drivers veering into meter territory. When he started, "the bail expired meters was $8. Today it's $55 or $65. For a bus stop, it's $255; for a fire hydrant, $90." His advice? "Rather than expose yourself to a citation, park in a garage." He recommends this over trying to run him over, throw boiling coffee at him, offering him a bribe, or attempting to use your "feminine whiles." Because, folks, the man would "ticket his own mother." Curbed's parking advice? Go MUNI instead. [SFGate/Photo via Shutterstock]
