That's Some Popular Adobe!

The Presidio Trust has been rehabilitating its historic Officer's Club- the officers themselves being long beyond rehab- and this Saturday, November 5, the public will get a first glimpse of the work-in-progress and stabilization of the building’s original adobe walls dating back to the second decade of the 18th Century. Some of the public that is. The Trust posted the event on Facebook yesterday afternoon and as of this morning, the tour was sold out. Tours are limited to small groups because of the fragile nature of the site, but our contact at the trust promises more will be scheduled... soon. When it comes to vintage adobe, apparently, if you snooze, you lose. [via the Presidio Trusts's Facebook page, and previously at Curbed SF]
