Life (Not) in the City

New, 2 comments

Despite a $20,000 incentive to live in the city, three quarters of our SFPD officers choose not to take up residency in our fair city. San Francisco Police Officers Association Gary Delagnes tells KCBS, "as generous as $20,000 is, when you're talking about a $600,000, ain't doing it." We should point out that the $20,000 loan is interest-free and forgiven after five years. The incentive program began in 2007, and only 14 police offers have taken advantage of the program so far.
