San Francisco: It's Expensive Here

New, 2 comments

Instead of hitting the gym after work, we suggest spending an hour or two wallowing at your local watering hole. By way of the Wall Street Journal, we learn that the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) released its third-quarter cost of living index last week, which outlines the most and least expensive cities in the country. As expected, New York state took the top two spots with Manhattan coming in first and Brooklyn right behind it. San Francisco has been ranked the 4th most expensive city to live in. No one will argue that SF is a pricey city to call home, but the Bureau of Labor Statistics says that workers in the Bay Area get paid 20% more. [WSJ/SF Appeal/photo via Whole Wheat Toast]
