No Nudes is Good News

We were expecting a big turnout and possible some type of naked sit-in at yesterday's hearing on proposed regulations for public nudity. The legislation, which was introduced by Supervisor Scott Wiener, would require unclothed folks to place some type of towel down before sitting on public seating. But only two people showed up to testify, and both were in favor of the legislation (and fully clothed). "There are a lot of different opinions about public nudity - ranging from celebrating it to thinking it should be banned," Wiener said. "That is a conversation that we'll continue to have in this city. This legislation, however, addresses these two very specific issues." The legislation was approved and now heads to the full board for consideration. [SF Examiner]
