More Preventable Controversy

Two public art projects continue to be on hold after the SF Arts Commission were surprised with the cold, hard, Google-able fact that the artist had killed a dog on film and called it art, albeit 30 years ago. Now the SF Animal Control and Welfare Commission is thinking of joining the fray by way of a strongly worded letter. You tell 'em, SFACWC! They are voting on wording which would suggest cancelling the contracts and prohibiting perpetrators of animal cruelty from getting city contracts in the future. Again, we suggest this step one in awarding city contracts (or going on a blind date, for that matter): a simple internet search. [SF Appeal]
