The Department of the Environment, the Public Utilities Commission and Global Tap, LLC have gone and installed "refilling stations" all over San Francisco. What are they? A place for folks to refill their water bottles with San Francisco tap water, as opposed to buying a new bottle in a store. There's already seven stations installed in places like Golden Gate Park, Crocker Amazon, UCSF, the Academy of Sciences, the Marina Green, the airport and several schools. The goal is to have 15 installed around the city permanently. [NBC Bay Area]
